Dreadnoughts are massively powerful fire giants who wield two huge shields like plow shards. These shields bear spikes on their exterior and have hollow interiors into which the giant pours hot coals at the first sign of danger. Armed with its two shields the dreadnought can present a fiery wall to any attacker. When the dreadnought has finished, often all that is left of a foe is a smoking smear on the floor.

The jungles of Chult teem with hordes of zombies; undead foot soldiers from the warlord’s Ras Nsi’s failed attempt to conquer the city of Mezro. Now leaderless, the undead stalk the overgrown wilds. To further discourage explorers from plumbing the depths of Chult, the lich Acererak has bolstered the ranks of these zombies with undead monstrosities. The most fearsome of these monsters are savage Tyrannosaurus Zombies. Along with its deadly bite, a Tyrannosaurs Zombie may disgorge zombies from its gullet during battle; these hapless victims of the dinosaur’s hunger are not under the control of the Tyrannosaurs, but they will attack the living nonetheless.

The Batiri are goblins. Nasty, thieving, squabbling, sneaking, and bloodthirsty, the Batiri exist in separate tribes that are all ruled by a single goblin queen. In order to rule such a motley mob, the goblin queen must defeat any challenges to her throne, and because of this, she’s a ruthless and dangerous adversary.

Each Batiri tribe worships some jungle creature that the goblins fear – usually an evil spirit of toothy dinosaur – and they adorn themselves to look as fierce and as large as possible.
